Common questions about InsightfulPipe.

InsightfulPipe Basics

**What is it?**

Your secure bridge between marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, etc.) and AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT. We handle the connections; your AI handles the answers.

**Do you read my data?**

No. InsightfulPipe only pulls data when your AI asks for it. Nothing is stored, cached, or analyzed on our side.

**Is it secure?**

Yes—OAuth sign-ins, encrypted credential storage, and read-only permissions. Billing runs through Stripe.

**Which AIs work?**

Claude and ChatGPT today, plus any client that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP). More assistants are on the roadmap.

Getting Started Questions

**How long does setup take?**

About 15 minutes for account creation, first connector, MCP configuration, and first query.

**Do I need to code?**

No. Sign in, click through OAuth screens, paste MCP URLs, and talk to your AI normally.

**What do I need handy?**

An email address, admin access to at least one marketing platform, and a Claude Pro/Team or ChatGPT Plus/Team account (free tiers don’t support custom MCP connectors).

**Can I try it first?**

Most workspaces offer a 7-day trial. Check the in-app billing page for the plan that applies to you.

Connector Questions

**How many connectors exist?**

16 out of the box, covering major ad, social, and analytics platforms. See the list →

**Multiple accounts per platform?**

Yes. Connect each account separately and assign it to the right brand.

**How fresh is the data?**

Real time. Every question triggers a live call to the platform and streams results back to your AI.

**What permissions do you request?**

Read-only access to campaign stats. We can’t edit campaigns, budgets, or settings.

**Changed a password or lost access?**

You’ll see a “Needs Reauth” badge. Click **Reconnect** and follow the OAuth prompts again.

MCP + AI Questions

**What is MCP again?**

An open standard that lets AI tools talk to services like InsightfulPipe. Add one MCP server per connector you want available in AI.

**Do I toggle it every time?**

Claude: enable the connector in the chat sidebar. ChatGPT: add the MCP server once and keep it enabled in settings.

**AI isn’t using the data—why?**

Make sure the connector is toggled on, your question clearly mentions the data source, and the connection isn’t in an error state.

Brand Questions

**Why do I need brands?**

Brands organize data by client, product line, or region. They make it easy to say “Show me Brand X in Google Ads.”

**Can a brand hold multiple connectors?**

Yes. Stack Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, and more under the same brand when you want to view them together.
