Pinterest Ads MCP connector

The Pinterest Ads connector lets AI agents report on and manage Pinterest ad accounts through InsightfulPipe's hosted MCP server at https://pinterest-ads.insightfulmcp.com/. It covers account, campaign, ad group and ad analytics, async reports, targeting and audience insights, trending keywords, audiences, customer lists and conversion tags.

Actions: 44 (28 read, 16 write). Workspace owners, admins and operators choose which actions each connected account exposes, and destructive actions are off by default.

What agents can do

Analytics: account, campaign, ad group and ad analytics, including saves and save rate, outbound clicks, checkout ROAS and video completions.
Reports: create async reports, including product item and product group levels, then fetch them.
Targeting insights: results by keyword, interest, age bucket and gender, audience insights and trending keywords.
Management: create and update campaigns, ad groups, ads and keywords.
Audiences and measurement: create and update audiences and customer lists, upload customer list files, and create conversion tags.
Catalogs: list catalogs and catalog feeds.

Before you connect

A Pinterest login with access to the ad account.

Connect Pinterest Ads

In the InsightfulPipe app, open Connectors, choose Pinterest Ads and click Connect.
Choose Read Only or Read + Write.
Sign in with Pinterest and approve access.
Select the ad accounts to connect.
Add the MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT or another client, then click Authorize access.

Permissions and safety

Management actions need Read + Write.
Writes are create and update only. No delete actions are exposed, and campaign, ad group and ad status changes stay PAUSED for safety.

Limits

Activate campaigns, ad groups and ads in Pinterest Ads Manager.
Report results are async, so the agent may need to fetch a report again when it's ready.

Troubleshooting

No ad accounts are returned: check that your Pinterest login has access to an ad account, then reconnect.
"This account is connected read-only, so this action cannot be enabled for it." Reconnect with Read + Write.
