First Connection
Detailed guide to connecting your first data source to InsightfulPipe.
What You Need
- InsightfulPipe account and workspace
- At least one brand (or be ready to create one)
- Admin access to the platform you’re connecting (example: Google Ads)
Pick a Starting Platform
- Google Ads if search is your main channel
- Meta Ads if you focus on social
- TikTok Ads if video is the priority
Any platform works—the steps are the same.
Connect in Four Steps
- Open Connectors – Log in, choose your workspace, and click Connectors in the sidebar.
- Select the platform – Click the connector card (e.g., Google Ads) and press Connect Account.
- Approve access – Complete the OAuth window, confirm the account, and approve the requested read-only permissions.
- Assign a brand – Choose an existing brand or create one on the spot, then save.
You’ll see a green Active badge once credentials are stored.
Tips if Something Fails
- OAuth window blocked? Allow pop-ups for InsightfulPipe.
- Wrong account selected? Disconnect and reconnect with the right login.
- Multiple client accounts? Repeat the flow for each account you manage.
After Connecting
- Test the connection by running a quick question in Claude or ChatGPT (“Show my top campaigns last week”).
- Keep an eye on the connector list—“Needs Reauth” means the platform revoked access and you should reconnect.
