The Screenshot MCP server is InsightfulPipe's own tool, running on InsightfulPipe's capture service. It is not affiliated with the websites you capture.

Which AI assistants does it work with?

Any AI client that supports remote MCP servers. The setup guide on this page covers Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI and Codex. You can also take the same captures from the terminal with the InsightfulPipe CLI.

Is there a Claude connector for screenshots?

Yes. In Claude, add https://screenshots.insightfulmcp.com/ as a custom connector and authorize your InsightfulPipe account. You can also add InsightfulPipe from the Claude Directory, which connects all of your linked accounts and tools at once.

Can I use the Screenshot MCP server with ChatGPT?

Yes. Add the server URL as a custom connector in ChatGPT Developer mode, or add InsightfulPipe from the ChatGPT app directory to connect all of your linked accounts and tools. Developer mode availability depends on your ChatGPT plan.

What does it capture?

A screenshot of the page at the URL you provide, on desktop, mobile or both. Each capture comes back as a public image link.

How long do screenshot links last?

Links are temporary and expire after a limited time, so download or save any screenshot you want to keep.

Can it change anything?

No. The Screenshot MCP server is read-only. It loads the page you ask for and returns images.

Is it safe and who on my team can use it?

The server only loads public pages, and requests to private network addresses are blocked. Owners, admins and operators can use it by default, and restricted team members can use it only if they are granted access. Each capture request counts toward your workspace's monthly allowance.

Can I capture many pages or sites?

Yes. Each request captures one URL, and your assistant can capture a list of pages across any number of sites one after another.

How does authentication work?

There is no third-party account or API key. Your AI client signs in to the MCP server with your InsightfulPipe account and receives an InsightfulPipe access token, and captures run on InsightfulPipe's service.

What are the limitations?

Each request captures one public URL, so pages behind a login cannot be captured. Image links are temporary, slow pages can take a while to capture, and every request counts toward a monthly allowance that depends on your plan.

Open Claude connector settings (Customize > Connectors), click + and then Add custom connector.

Start a new chat, click +, open Connectors and turn the connector on to use it.

The Free plan can add one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner first adds it under Organization settings > Connectors, then each member clicks Connect in Customize > Connectors.
