No. InsightfulPipe is an independent, hosted MCP server that uses Google's Business Profile APIs. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. As of September 2026 we found no official Business Profile MCP server from Google, and Business Profile is not on Google Cloud's list of Google-managed MCP servers.

Yes. Google renamed Google My Business to Google Business Profile. This server works with Business Profile locations, and you may still see it listed as Google My Business in some places on InsightfulPipe.

Yes. In Claude, add https://google-my-business.insightfulmcp.com/ as a custom connector and authorize your InsightfulPipe account. You can also add InsightfulPipe from the Claude Directory, which connects all of your linked accounts at once.

Yes. Add the server URL as a custom connector in ChatGPT Developer mode, or add InsightfulPipe from the ChatGPT app directory to connect all of your linked accounts. Developer mode availability depends on your ChatGPT plan.

Yes. It can reply to reviews or update existing replies, create and edit posts, including event and offer posts with call-to-action buttons, add photos or videos from a URL and update food menus. Deleting posts, media and review replies is off by default.

No. There are no actions for editing core business information such as name, address, hours or categories. Make those changes in Google Business Profile.

You control the risk. Owners, admins and operators choose exactly which actions your AI can use on each location, and disabled actions are hidden and blocked. Review replies and posts are public, so turn those actions off where agents should not publish. Delete actions stay off until someone enables them. Restricted team members only get read actions on the locations they have been granted.

You connect Google Business Profile to InsightfulPipe with Google OAuth, granting the Business Profile management permission that Google's APIs require. Your AI client then signs in to the MCP server with your InsightfulPipe account and receives an InsightfulPipe access token, not your Google login. You can disconnect a location at any time.

Core business information such as name, address, hours and categories cannot be edited, and photos and videos are added from a public URL rather than uploaded from your computer. Performance metrics are daily and keyword impressions are monthly, as provided by Google. Questions and answers are not included.
