Is this the official Snapchat Ads MCP server?

No. Snap offers its own Snapchat Ads MCP Server. InsightfulPipe is an independent, hosted MCP server that connects to the Snapchat Marketing API. InsightfulPipe is not affiliated with Snap Inc.

How is it different from Snap's Ads MCP Server?

Snap's server is hosted by Snap and, in its current release, read-only: it can read Snapchat Ads data but cannot create, update or delete anything. InsightfulPipe can also create and update campaigns, ad squads, ads and creatives, connects Snapchat together with Google Ads, Meta Ads and 40+ other MCP servers, and adds per-account action controls and team access.

Which AI assistants does it work with?

Any AI client that supports remote MCP servers. The setup guide on this page covers Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI and Codex. You can also work with the same connected ad accounts from the terminal with the InsightfulPipe CLI.

Is there a Claude connector for Snapchat Ads?

Yes. In Claude, add https://snapchat-ads.insightfulmcp.com/ as a custom connector and authorize your InsightfulPipe account. You can also add InsightfulPipe from the Claude Directory, which connects all of your linked accounts at once.

Can I use the Snapchat Ads MCP server with ChatGPT?

Yes. Add the server URL as a custom connector in ChatGPT Developer mode, or add InsightfulPipe from the ChatGPT app directory to connect all of your linked accounts. Developer mode availability depends on your ChatGPT plan.

What Snapchat Ads data can my AI access?

You can access campaign metrics, ad squad performance, creative data, swipe rates, video completion rates, conversion data, and your audience segment lists. This includes impressions, swipes, conversions, and spend, as well as organizations, ad accounts and media details.

Lens ads report through the same stats actions as other ads: impressions, swipes, spend, play time, video views and conversions. Lens-specific interaction metrics are not exposed, and stats are broken down by campaign, ad squad or ad rather than by age, gender or location.

Can it create and change Snapchat campaigns?

Yes. It can create campaigns, ad squads, ads and creatives, and update their names, schedules, budgets, status and creative details. New campaigns, ad squads and ads are created paused. There are no delete actions.

Can I manage multiple Snapchat ad accounts?

Yes. When you sign in with Snapchat, InsightfulPipe lists the ad accounts in each organization you can access and you choose which ones to connect. Each connected ad account counts as one connection on your plan.

How does authentication work?

You connect Snapchat Ads to InsightfulPipe with Snapchat OAuth. Your AI client then signs in to the MCP server with your InsightfulPipe account and receives an InsightfulPipe access token, not your Snapchat login. You can disconnect an ad account in InsightfulPipe at any time.

What can't the Snapchat Ads MCP server do?

It cannot delete campaigns, ad squads, ads or creatives, create or edit audiences, or break stats down by age, gender or location. Snapchat connections are always read and write, so use action controls to limit writes.

A Snapchat Ads MCP server connects Snapchat Ads to AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard for giving AI tools access to data and actions. Once connected, you can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor about campaign results and ask it to make changes, instead of working through Snapchat Ads Manager.

New campaigns, ad squads and ads start paused, IDs that belong to a different ad account are refused, and owners, admins and operators choose exactly which actions your AI can use on each account; disabled actions are hidden and blocked. Snapchat connections do not offer a Read-only option and update actions can set items to active, so turn off the write actions for any account where agents should only read. Team members with restricted access only get read actions.
